The most delicious salad dressing - Summer Harvest Raspberry
One of the freshest and unique products we are supplying to guests in our lunch and luxury selections of food is a salad dressing produced 15 miles from us by two farmers near Perth, Mark and Maggie Bush. They not only crush their own oil seed rape to make the highest quality oil, but then they take some of this oil and mix it with other local ingredients to produce salad dressings. Two of the delicious cheese we are supplying guests in our food selections is produced by The Devenick Dairy www.devenickdairy.co.uk, a business run from the family dairy farm in Aberdeenshire, just to the north of us. One of our favourites is 'The Coos are Oot' and the other is 'Badentoy Blue' - both taste fantastic on Aberfeldy oatcakes with some Ola Chilli Jam.

Carnoustie Open Golf Tournament
Had a fantastic time yesterday at the Richoh Women's British Open Golf Championship, the first time the event has been held at Carnoustie. Lunch in one of the suites at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel with views over the 18th hole. Carnoustie is only 20 minutes drive from us, but there are over 31 golf courses within 30 minutes drive of our Hideaways, from the Championship Courses of Carnoustie and St Andrews to rural healthland courses. Beautiful Walk Up the Hill and at the Beach Today
This morning up early and climbed Balkello Hill, which sits behind the Hideaways. Amazing views as far south as Pentland Hills 50 miles away at Edinburgh, West to Ben Lawers near Aberfeldy and north to Aberdeenshire. This afternoon spent on our favourite beach, Lunan Bay, miles and miles of unspoilt sand with not a soul in sight, amazing.

Spring has arrived
Thankfully spring seems to have arrived over the past few days with sun and dry weather forecast this week. There has been some really amazing starry skies the last few evenings and we were fortunate to be sharing a hot tub with a 'star expert' the other night, learned a lot! If you haven't experienced a hot tub at 40 degrees with nothing but fresh air and the night sky it is an amazing feeling!
