A fabulous gem of a place with hospitality to match. After a stressful and busy week at work, 24 hours in The Hideaway enjoying a hamper with the best of local food and drink, chilling out and escaping the real world was just what was needed to recharge the batteries. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the 'Hideaway.' We have been out and about every day - really recommend Reekie Linn Falls, the Highland Safari, Lunan Bay, Glamis Castle, The Famous Grouse Experience and the Tourist route through Braemar and the mountains. Coming back to such a peaceful, luxurious cottage every evening was bliss! Made use of the sauna and jacuzzi - gorgeous! Sitting in front of the log burner every evening, snuggled up on the comfy sofa was very relaxing and romantic. Now its back to the real world.

This was a perfect start to our honeymoon. We went to Lunan Bay (fantastic), enjoyed a smokie in Arbroath (very tasty), and went in for a three hour walk in the Sidlaw Hills behind the Hideaway (saw no one!). Most of all we relaxed in the comfort of The Hideaway. What more could you ask for. Amazing sunset, lovely dinners, local strawberry wine, local pork. This place is super. Hopefully we will make it back one day.

After the chaos and excitement of organising a wedding, the Hideaway made the perfect retreat – a chance to reflect and relax. Everything at the Hideaway has been designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and wonderfully indulgent: from relaxing in the sauna or jacuzzi bath to sipping a glass of something lovely on the terrace as the sun goes down there really is no better escape from the hectic pace of life. This is exactly why we've chosen to return for our first anniversary, and why we're sure we'll be back next year!

I went to the Hideaway with a girlfriend and came back with a fiancee! We couldn't have wished for a better couple of days to get away from it all.. what better place to get engaged! Proposing outside the Hideaway at midnight under the stars between our birthdays on 13th and 14th April, a night we will never forget.

The Hideaway is such a romantic place to visit, no matter if you have just met or if, like us you are celebrating an anniversary. Its a place just to enjoy each other's company and remember why you married each other, even if that marriage took place 50 years ago and its a Golden Wedding celebration!

We had the most amazing holistic massages from Populo, one of the most relaxing experiences ever which left us so chilled out we fell asleep! It was great having a massage in the private surroundings of The Hideaway. Normally when you have a massage in a treatment salon you have a quick shift back to reality by getting your clothes on and geting back into the car to drive home... a massage in The Hideaway meant we could sit around in our bath robes for the rest of the day and enjoy the benefit of the experience, just bliss

We came to the Hideaway to make use of the facilities to help chill out and relax after a busy and challenging time. Following Rob's heart attack while working in the oil industry in Australia followed by major heart surgery and the journey home, our stay marked our first chance to get away together, to recuperate in luxurious surroundings and to celebrate being together. We especially loved having our own private spa facilities. The Hideaway is just what the doctor ordered!

We can vouch that the journey from the bedroom to the hot tub naked is a safe one, given we spent nearly an entire weekend in and out of the hot tub, sun bathing on the patio, with not a stitch on and the only visitors we had were two deer running past and a visit from Oscar the cat. Back to City life, what a stark contrast.
